In Memoriam: Petra Buttner (April 9, 1965 - April 15, 2024)
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Petra on April 15, 2024. She leaves behind her husband, Tony, and their first three dachshunds, Pepper, Salami and Badger.
Petra's legacy is larger than life and will live on in her many years of breeding dachshunds. Over the course of these years, she has formed over 100 families by way of the puppies she has so lovingly brought into this world. Anyone who has been lucky enough to get a dog from Petra knows that there is no greater gift in the world. She always worked with quality of health and temperament top of mind, and it is easy to see the result of that in every puppy.
She was fiercely loving, and full of life, knowledge and experience. Not only was she a dachshund breeder, but prior to that, she and Tony ran a dog boarding facility. And prior to that, she bred, boarded and trained horses. She was renowned in the horse industry, excelling at breeding foals with premium status. She held degrees in computer science, animal naturopathy, an BMA, and was a certified horse trainer! Always seeking to learn more and improve herself.
Petra will always be remembered with love, respect and admiration. Give your little pups and extra kiss at night for her, as this is how she would have liked to be remembered.

All of my puppies are raised in our home and are well socialized from early on. They go to their new homes with a full care package including vaccination and microchip.

Occasionally we offer adults for adoption that are either retired from breeding or do not fit into our breeding program. All adults are trained and house trained but will need to be spayed or neutered.
